You're invited to attend a weekend packed full of fun quilt classes, events, and vendor mall! We're pleased
to offer a variety of classes, thanks to our ten national teachers and multitude of state teachers.
Quilt History Day, Thursday, July 24, will feature quilt historian, Bobbie
Aug. Bobbie's extensive studies into dating will provide us with lots of quilt examples to see and touch.
The $40 cost includes breakfast, lunch, and dinner.
Due to the favorable response to two-day classes, we will offer three:
Peg Pennell will reprise her “Free Motion Appliqué with Embellishments”, on Thursday and Friday,
the $55 fee includes Thursday's breakfast, lunch and dinner. On Friday and Saturday, Vi Colombe will
teach a “Lone Star” wall hanging, and Sue Chaffee and Cathy Audley will teach “Wax Batik”. Please
mark your registration form accordingly when signing up for these classes.
Keeping in mind the distance that many will travel to get to Chadron, our “meet the
teachers” social will be held from 5-6 pm, on Friday.
Marsha McCloskey will discuss Feathered Star Quilts at Friday's banquet,
and Ami Simms will amuse us with her “Living with Quilts: A Survival Guide” on Saturday night.
There will also be live and silent auctions to help us meet our pledge to IQSC, show and tell, drawing for the lovely raffle
quilt - “Pineapple Delight”, and the unveiling of the next raffle quilt.
Sunday morning we will have breakfast and the annual Nebraska State Quilt Guild meeting.
We will continue with changes that were instituted last year - polo shirts and a backpack
tote bag will be optional, please order by June 15.
The registration booklet is your guide to Quilt Nebraska 2008. It contains
a schedule of events, class information, your registration form, and special event information. This information will
not be mailed to you again. Registration is by mail only. All forms postmarked
by May 12, 2008 will be placed in the first drawing for class assignments. You should receive your class
selection by June 20, 2008.
Good friends are like stars - you don't always see them, but you know they
are always there”
