Quilters Day Out in Omaha on Saturday November 4th. We had 28 people attend. We started with an NSQG welcome by Nancy Peters. Mary Schleglemilch presented, demonstrated, and led a discussion on preparing fabric by starching to improve accuracy in piecing. Marcia Christensen facilitated a networking activity where everyone participated in sharing information on guilds, shows, events, retreats, shopping (in person and online), and social media. Just before and during lunch the challenge was to meet a new quilter. Everyone who met five new quilters received a rotary blade container. After lunch Marcia Christensen shared a lifetime of quilting with friends via a trunk show of over 60 quilts. We ended by gathering feedback and ideas for the agenda of the next Quilters Day Out for District 2 on April 20, 2024 at Nebraska Quilt Company in Fremont.
